I'm In Love With A Robot

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The first lyrics from one of my favourite songs from my middle school years, "Show Me Love" by Robyn. For many years following, I thought that Robyn, like so many other artists that came out with a pop hit in the 90s, was going to be stuck on 90s mixes everywhere, never to be heard from again. It was until a few years ago that I realized that the Robyn from Sweden who is an electronic goddess in Europe was one and the same as the Robyn from the 90s! There's nothing quite like realizing that an artist once thought lost to the category of one-hit wonders is actually brilliantly evolved and still performing.

And naturally, as a lover of all things electro, when I heard "The Girl and The Robot", the collaborative effort of Robyn and electronic duo
Röyksopp from Norway, I fell in love. The video concept is wicked, not the mention Robyn looks pretty damn fierce in a couture dress made of what looks like shredded paper.
